Ava had the cutest piggies for church one week- I couldn't resist kissing her so much because she looked so cute!
We had a free ice-cream sundae at Bucca di Beppo, and it was so huge.
The whole family together- the only time this year!
Lucy played dress-ups with Ava.
We went to hear Andrew play the piano for Sister Alleman, a sweet lady from the ward we lived in 15 years ago. I am glad I decided to stay home from work that day so that I could go, because she passed away about 10 days later. She was the funniest, spunkiest, smartest lady and we all loved visiting her.
The next day we went to St. George again! This time with Brent's family. It was so fun. Marcie drove with us on the way down and we went through Delta to see a museum on the Japanese camp they had in the area during WWII.
We got there a little too early so we went to a splash pad to wait for the museum to open. Ava was incredibly happy about that, of course.
We went to another museum and saw lots of old artifacts.
The museum Marcie and Brent wanted to see was dedicated to the artwork the Japanese people did while in the internment camp. Here is our favorite watercolor picture:
I got a little woozy and had to sit down to eat something. Because I'm growing a baby. More on that next post.
The first night in St. George it was just us and Marcie and we had the penthouse, complete with our own hot tub. Oh yeah.
The next morning Brent and Marcie took Ava to a cool park by the condo while I worked. Check out these shots:
We had to take advantage of our own hot tub. And Ava tried out her new floaties. With these on, she is a fish, swimming around pretty independently! Haha, look how I'm holding her in the first one- she looks like she's in jail.
Bob, Tammy, and Daniel arrived, and we spent lots of time going out to eat, going shopping, watching movies, and playing games. My kind of vacation!
At the splash pad: (Ava had turned the setting on my phone to black and white, but the pictures turned out kind of cool)
Ava is a little obsessed with Marcie:
Fourth of July pictures:
Excited to see Grandma and Grandpa pulling up, blowing kisses and waving as if she hadn't just seen them 10 minutes earlier :)
At the Tuachan market, Ava wanted to pose here:
At the Black Bear Diner for dinner:
Ava was sooooo excited for fireworks. She has been talking about them ever since, asking to see more. We had a beautiful sunset to start out the night:
The next day after church we went to these beautiful gardens and a slot canyon:
We left after dinner and got home late Sunday night- we didn't want to leave St. George! Have I mentioned I would love to move there? I'll post our fun activities back in SLC in the next post.
